FACT #26

FACT #26

I still have my locs (2015 - 2021) stored away.

I do plan on finally ridding myself of them. But it will entail a bonfire, and a moment of peace and silence.

Hey Siri, look up “How to start a bonfire!”

  1. Wow!! I think we all reinvent ourselves at different times in our lives. It's just a reality, but it doesn't mean we totally abandon our former self. There were some incredible times back then even if we have moved on. The past is what makes us who we are today and can't be easily discarded. It had meaning then and still has meaning now. Just in different ways. It's sometimes hard to let go.
I have a couple articles of clothing from many, many years ago. Which I wouldn't be caught dead wearing again. But I pull them out occasionally and reminisce what they meant and that very different person I once was.

  2. I have always enjoyed reinvention and change. And though it may seem like nothing more than a change of hairstyle fashion or a way one is outwardly perceived, it is a change of attitude and even an outward manifestation of some internal shift. And yes I find it very important to keep certain articles from the past as a healthy reminder of growth or just enjoying a trip down memory lane.
