Yes The Battle Still Rages and my weight continues to fluctuate as I get on and fall off the wagon. But looking at then and now has allowed me to see that I really have been serious about keeping the weight off. 

Yes those BK chicken sandwiches still seduce me in the middle of the night like a succubus ravishing her prey. 

There are a few things that spares me the notion of giving into her tempting ways:

1. The cost of fast food is not looking pretty.  I’m a bit of an old head.  Because I remember when I could get any candy bar for 25 cents and now I get the same candy bar that is the exact same size that I got when I was a kid for a dollar seventy nine cents is ludicrous to me. A vinyl LP that was maximum 8 bucks would run damn near twenty five to thirty today. So knowing I’m going to pay twelve dollars that at best taste like a five dollar sandwich is a pass for me.

2. Making my own food has been much more pleasurable (although I detest clean up.)

3. I can cook in my underwear. I don’t have to get dressed and go out in the cold.

4. Preparing my meals has been a healthier way to eat and snack.

Yeah, every now and then I do go and find a fast food place.  I also remember what I looked like and how I felt after stuffing my face to oblivion. 

My weight will always fluctuate.  But I have a much better grip than I ever had before. 

P.S.Yes I know I look like a different person clean shaven!
